Osteochondritis / Internal Derangement
« on: November 27, 2006, 05:59:17 PM »
My NEW Orthopeadic Dr showed me on an xray the edges of my knee cap and that arthritis is forming. He has ordered a new MRI to be done. His diagnosis for this is OSTEOCHONDRITIS AND INTERNAL DERANGEMENT.  ......?????????????? what???????
I have had 3 Scopes on this knee in the past and 1 lateral release. The last 'scope done in Feb 06 resulted in the Dr finding a FEMORAL GROOVE DEFECT. He said he trimmed out what he could/ chondroplasty and has been injecting my knee with cortizone type meds every 2 months because the surgery did not help at all. My knee is still just as swollen as before the surgery.
Now this NEW Dr. has ordered this MRI and tells me I may be a candidate for SYNVIC injections but wants to see the MRI first.
Does any one have ANY advice on anything about this?????  Thank you. ???
