Non-surgical options offered in PFS
« on: September 11, 2002, 07:31:44 AM »
Hi all, finally had my follow-up appointment today to see what my other options are.  (Suffer form chondromalacia
and bialteral PFPS).

So,  here are my options at this point.

1.  Aggressive PT.  What exactly does aggressive PT
    consist of?

2.  He wrote me a Rx for the orthotics.  Insurance will
pay for most of them,  so why not give
    them a try.

3.  He gave me an injection of celestone mixed with
marcaine in the right knee.  He injected 10cc of
meds into my knee.  That seemed like a lot to me.

4.  Return to him in six weeks for follow-up and will
make other decisions along the way.

I am pleased with these options at this time, because I was really dreading another surgery when the first on has not healed completely.

Thanks for everyones concern and support.  Do not know where I would be if I had not have found you guys.
