surgery tomorrow... my 4th
« on: August 29, 2006, 08:02:36 PM »
Another knee surgery tomorrow, just wondering this time... if there will be a difference in recovery and pain.  I have had 3 meniscus repairs (last surgery 8 months ago) and now since I have had complications post op, its time for the LATERAL RELEASE.  I believe that is all he is going to do.  I trust my surgeon so no anxiety at all.  Just wondering how the 2 diffferent surgeries compare post operative???  Anyone have them both?  The first 3 surgeries I was back to work in 5 days with crutches only when needed, I scheduled the same this time.  Im in so much pain already I am looking forward to the relief I will get from the lateral release.  Fingers crossed....
Thanks

UPDATE  Had the lateral release, and feel great!  Have not really needed the pain meds or crutches much.  This has been the best out of the 4 surgeries so far.  Lets hope it keeps up.
