To be honest i cant remember i was off my face, she came in and said fulweight bearing with crutches and not to hobble and get rid of the when I am ready. they also said do not sleep with a pillow under the knee but im not comfortable any other way, so i make up for this by doing hamstring stretches in the day x

Tegs,
You need to get rid of the pillow! Lie on your side and put the pillow under the side of your knee instead of under the back of your knee. And that says it all to me, get walking and get rid of the crutches girl! You are holding yourself up, you can do it, just have faith and the strength in yourself!

A nice warm bath then I use biofreeze gel, this helps too.
You will only get rid of the stiffness by moving around.
Jules
I use Biofreeze gel too. I move around all the time and still am having trouble with the stiffness. My TKR surggery was 8 months ago. I went to PT for 5 months and ended up needing a manipulation anyway. I'm beginning to wonder if the problem is muscles more then anything with a lot of people. I'm going to talk to my Doctor about it.

Luckygrandma,
The biofreeze is great isn't it?
I'm 4 months post TKR on my right knee and 12 days post PFR on my left, I'm having very little problems with my TKR knee, whether its because of the increased meds I'm taking for my recent post op I don't know, but its pretty good.
But the biofreeze is fantastic.
