hto rehab
« on: August 15, 2006, 03:58:41 AM »
i had a high tibial osteotomy closing wedge and aclr 4 weeks ago.  my os allowed 20% wb after 2 weeks, but i was doing more before i got to a scale and realized  :-[
the knee joint is still very stiff.  i have about 105 degrees bend.  the massive leg brace has been hurting more than helping so i opt not to wear it very often.  i've been doing the following exercises: 1-> ankle rotations, toe crunches 2-> quads flex and hold (straight leg) 3-> quad stretch (pulling foot with rope while lying on stomach)  if you have any other exercises i would love to hear them!

how long does it actually take until my leg starts to feel normal??  ive been on crutches for 6 months and i just want to walk normally again!

dont get me wrong, as im very happy with my progress and hoping that everything works out.

thank you   :-\
