OATS Cleveland doctor...any suggestions?
« on: August 08, 2006, 12:03:57 AM »
Well, I had microfracture done in November of 2004 and now my knee is having issues again.  I had an MRI and basically my fibrocartilage isn't holding up.  So now we move on to OATS.  My problem is, I'm not exactly confident in my OS to perform this.  He's done  a "few" but it isn't something he does a lot of.  Does anyone know of a good OS in the Cleveland area that is well versed on the OATS procedure?    Or is there a resource out there somewhere to find one and find out specifically if he has done many of these?  I can find many OS's, but I want to find one that knows about this.

Thanks so much for any help anyone can give me.

How far is Cleveland from Chicago?  Dr. Brian Cole is there and one of the leading surgeons in Cartilage Restoration
My 17 year old son had the OATS procedure on November 29th, 2006.  He has two previous scopes on the right knee and one on the left.
