I have just discovered this site and this is my first post. I am 49yo who had open menisectomy to right knee 30 years ago (rugby injury) There were no arthroscopes in those days.I continued to play contact sport, including full contact karate which i gave up 5 years ago.In Nov 05 i had awork injury to the same knee,the resulting mri scan showed acl rupture,fcl rupture,buckling of pcl almost complete loss of cartilage on one side and extensive loss on other side along with degenerative oa the os doesn't believe artroscope would do it much good. After managing my knee with rest and exercise i returned to work ( different job) I further injured my knee at work in May 06 and looks that i'm probably up for a knee replacement.Could anybody advise a list of good surgeons in Australia,particularly Queensland who specialise,very little info on the web on individual surgeons over here.
