a really good pair of crutches
« on: July 30, 2006, 05:32:01 AM »
Since there have been some topics about crutches lately, and how much they hurt your hands, I thought I would post about a pair of crutches that are quite amazing.

The crutches themselves are pretty typical forearm crutches, but they have a different kind of handrest, which the company calls ergonomic. It offers a much better surface where more of your hand rests on the handle, rather than just the part which is right over your radial nerve. I found it to be an incredible difference from the regular crutch handle.

They also offer an optional rubber tip for the base which absorbs quite a bit of shock and rotates so you can keep your balance no matter how uneven the ground is.

They can be ordered easily from the internet, and come in all sorts of pretty colors.  ;D

This isn't the best photo of the handle, but it's the best one on their website:

Happy Crutching!
