I am having a lateral release and medial reefing done in a few weeks, but I have miserable malalignment, and  I have read that a lateral release makes it worse. Please post! I don't want to mess up my knee even more than it is!

A lateral release as a stand alone procedure is only good for lateral patella tilt.  But it sounds like you are having it done along with medial reefing, the cobo can be used for alignment problrms.

Ask your OS what he plans to do and how the procedures will help in your case.  He should be willing to show you what he plans to do.

GOOD LUCK
