Nervous energy has taken over me.   I had a lovely bubble bath around 8:30  and now started to organize  and toss out  things.   ( I tried to do this last week but stupid leg thing stopped me - The good leg feels better thank god .. )

I slept most of the day.  Downloaded a few Jane Austin books and got to find my MP3 player.   There is something comforting about Pride and Predjuice , Emma and sense and sensibility.  I dragged out my DVD collection and it will go good with my portable DVD christmas pressie.


I am gathering my cosmetic bag for the hospital.    Face cleanser. soap. Ponds face clothes, toothbrush, tooth paste.. mouth wash. Dental floss. Lipgloss, Ponytail holders, glasses.  contact lenses.
Slippers, housecoat,  Undies, Jammies.

Hoping my bike ride ends tomorrow.  Close timing to have a bike ride so close to surgery.

Anja,  I started to read your post op journal from the start.   I must admit..  I know its all true.. the pain.. dont try to sugar coat it..   I know it will be tuff the first three days..
Bonnie,    I have to catch you..    Please call me before my surgery.

I got my stash from Lush and have been taking so many bubble baths this week.  I have the softest skin for the doctor to hack my leg bits and mend them back

22 staples for the main scar and 4 more for the computer probes - so not too many compared to some!

Leave the contact lenses at home - you will be in and out of sleep so won't be able to use them - take your glasses.

I took mine and wasn't allowed to use them - they said they didn't want to be removing stuck or lost in eyes lenses! Yuck!

So it is tomorrow Tues isn't it?

Well  I can say bike ride is over. One less worry.   Didnt sleep well last night..  Been sleeping this morning.  Still fiddling with the bag I want to take to the hospital.     I suppose it is keeping me busy.. Cant find where I put my mp3 player..  But I am using my old brief case for my dvd player. Family will have to bring that too me..

Went Xmas shopping for 6 hours with mum and Tigger yesterday OMG they have stamina! Almost killed me but leg held out really well! Chuffed to ribbbons! Am all done now, all wrapped up and everything!
