Woo hoo had my 5 yr check up today -where the heck did that time go! All good with my tkr - perfect condition!
However! Left knee has arthritis, bakers cyst and torn cartalidge so going for MRI to check how much damage I done and then plan treatment!

Hi Ange,
Glad you are doing ok with your new knee that's nearly 5 years old. Need to get your left knee checked over by your OS do you think you will end up with a TKR on your left knee as well or just need a scope to clean out the knee!
Have a good weekend.
Nick

Hi Nick - Have to wait for MRI to see extent of damage first, at very least he thinks it will be a trim and debridement, just have to wait for the scan but he said it should be within 4 weeks.
My tkr knee is fab, I am having physio as have som scar tissue over knee cap which is causing pain when climbing stairs and bending my leg but not a mechanical prob thank goodness - next physio session not till after Wimbledon though as my physio is working there!

Hi Ange,
At least your MRI showed up some problems and suppose a PKR is better then a TKR, have you got a date yet for the surgery!

haha Nick would have preferred a torn cartalidge !
No surgery for me yet - will wait , as I said until the bad days outweigh the good days or more importantly if the TKR on my right knee starts to suffer!

Hi Ange,
How’s your new knee bearing up now it’s reached its 7th Birthday today, is it holding up well or still causing you problems!
May not reply straight away as you not updated your thread for a while that can only be good news as your new knee must be doing ok.
