Stretching Scar
« on: July 07, 2006, 03:45:06 AM »
I underwent surgery in late October and now am the proud owner of a three inch long incision scar on my knee. At first it was looking pretty good besides the red and purple color. But as time has gone on, it has stretched considerably. It was just a skinny line, but now at the widest point it is about a half an inch apart. I sit with my leg bent a lot and wondered if that has anything to do with it or if it was just the way my skin reacted. It is also very purple in color and wrinkley and bumpy. I will try to post a picture if I can figure it out... :-\ not the best with technology these days. Has anyone else had any experience with their scars stretching??

I am curious to see your responses as I just had surgery 7 weeks ago and I was just saying tonight how happy I am with my scar as it is a narrow line right now and not even noticeable in some areas.
