back again
« on: July 06, 2006, 09:13:13 PM »
brief history... accident march 2003.. plica removal July 2004, fell again October 2004, fat pad cut away January 2006..

Problem is now that I am having repeated incidents where my knee 'gives way' without warning, it feels like something rocks back and forth, any idea? its intensely painful at the time. I can go for ages without it doing this and then have a day when it does nothing but.. I can walk etc normally but cannot go downstairs without my knee popping very loudly. I can't do a straight leg raise without intense pain and feeling like something is dropping. I also have problems with intense cramp first thing when I wake up.
Is it time to go back to my gp?

I know this was posted several years ago but I also had fat pad surgery and as soon as I ditched the crutches my knee started giving out. My situation is similar to your's except I have no issues with SLRs. Did you ever find out what the problem was or get it fixed?
