So frustrated.
« on: June 19, 2006, 05:33:19 PM »
Ugh! I am so frustrated right now. Okay most of you know my problem and stuff (15 and have temporary paralysis in the crisis room). While I thought I was getting better it got worse. My OS is very negative towards meniscu repair. So he tried giving me a brace and do some PT and gave me some shots. But know I reinjured my left knee and hurt my hand. So at 4 o'clock this morning I had hand surgery. So I go in and apparently this is pretty serious even though the surgery doesn't take long. When I limped in they but me in a gown and boots king of secured my knee and then it began. They immediately put me in an IV and then a blood pressure band which was very annoying. My chest felt very constricted and so I was put in a breath mask. Then they hoooked all my monitors to my bed  and took me into the surgery room. Their The strapped me down at my chest waist and twice at my legs. I had like six heart regulators on and my IV arm was strapped down and so was my surgical one. After the surgery I still had all of htis on and it was all slowly taken off. I once again couldn't move my legs and had to use a wheelchair.

Please help me,
December 01-Chromadic Pattela tracking problem
January 06- Tear in Patellar Tendon (no surgery
Febuary 06-Paralysis Sprees gone now
March 06- knee tendinitis in L and R
August 06- suspected meniscus tear

I'm sorry you're having such a horrible time. It sounds like medical issues are piling up on you, one after the other... before the first one can even be sorted out.

I've come across a few of your posts here and there, and I can't help but be struck by the opinion that you really, really, really need to seek second and third opinions -- for your knee and, especially, for your back.

I'm having a hard time imagining a responsible surgeon knowingly strapping down someone with spinal stenosis in such a way to trigger paralysis.

Can you get your parents to look into different doctors for you? There really is better medical care out there.

In the meantime... keep your chin up and try to find your sense of humor. It will really help you get through this!
