Runners, have you tried this?
« on: June 19, 2006, 03:24:18 PM »
It's 3 months since my meniscectomy and I still can't run because of sharp pain behind the knee cap. Went back to the os last week who said that in addition to the meniscectomy he "smoothed out" the knee cap because there was a little arthritis.  He gave me a knee brace and said that hopefully I'll feel better in a couple of months and that there is nothing more he can do for me. I feel like he fixed something that wasn't broken because I've never had pain there. I'm worse off now than before the surgery.

Anyway . . . . . I met someone during a bike ride last weekend who told me about Kangoo Jumps. This man had to give up running due to similar knee problems, but he can run a little with his Kangoo boots. I went online and found what I was looking for. There is even a video showing a man running on trails. This sounds too good to be true! Has anybody tried these? They're being sold in many countries but have not seen them yet here in the U.S.
