burning pain
« on: May 28, 2006, 09:07:52 PM »
i am currently waiting to see my OS's following a Ct scan in march to decide what to do with/how to correct the mal-alignment in my legs.  I suffer from really bad aching pains every day because of it but over the last few days i've been experiencing a burning sensation across the front of my patella which is new to me.  When i can sense this feeling, if i look at my knee it is blotchy red and feels hot to touch.  Does anyone know what this means/what causes this?  I have been asked before if i get this by the OS but up until now i hadn't?

Sounds like inflammation, but only a guess. Normally a hot red knee indicate thatī.
Icing until you see your doc sounds like a good idea.Hope you have a appointment set soon.

Hi, I have a similar problem with this sort of pain. I have been told by a Podiatrist that I have Malalignment probs but I have not had it confirmed by an OS yet. I don't get any visible swelling but I find that the aches and pains get worst as the day goes on and I sometimes get a hot felling in my knees. I would be very interested to hear what treatment you have been offered and if you have had any luck with physio.

Hope it all goes well, Chris.
