Maybe things will get better now??!!
« on: March 30, 2009, 03:16:23 AM »
Hi All,

Not been around for a while - ex causing problems, knee causing problems and a holiday getting int he way meant I had no access to a PC for ages.

I had my last MRI scan at Solihull hospital in December but haven't heard anything. My OS there said he's also take on the pain issue although this was never treated in the first place so I'm not quite sure what he meant by that. Mechanically, he ran out of ideas long ago. Othe rthan a full TKR, there are no more options ut my age goes against me.

I requested a second opinion and have now 2 doctors at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital whoa re dealing bth with the cnsideration of a TKR and pain management. I have appointments with them both this week - pain management is on Tuesday and the main problem is Friday's appt.

please wish me luck - if this goes pear shaped that's it. There's nothing else that can be done. A third opinion qwould be too much for me to wait for in suspense.

I wish you the best of luck.  My TKR was a god send.  It will be 3 years in DEC.   Four years since my Knee crap started.
