Question!
« on: May 19, 2006, 01:55:01 PM »
I have looked at pictures of people that have had TTT. And there are only little like spots right after their surgery where they cut. I think (not for sure) my doctor told me that I was going to have to get my knee cut about 2 or 3 inches down on both sides of my knee so he could see my kneecap. Is there a big difference, or does it just vary on the doctor own how they do it. Just wondering. Also, does it take longer to recover with the 2 or 3 inch cuts then the others.
I hope that all made sense.
God Bless!

Hi Jennifer

Are you having a TTT or an arthroscopy? You are right in saying that every OS has a different way of doing things.
My incision site does not hurt at all it's about 3 inches and surgery was 4 days ago. With vitamin E cream I am confident that it will heal well. To be hoest though a scar is a small price to pay for a knee that will work.
