sports post medial meniscus removal
« on: May 18, 2006, 11:28:40 PM »
Hi

I am 31 and have played soccer all my life.
Unfortunately 15 months ago I injured my knee in a challenge, which turned out to be damamged a medial meniscus.
The OS informed me that the damaged meniscus needed complete removal.
It is now 5 weeks since surgery and my knee is feeling better, not 100% but slowly getting more comfortable.
What are my chances of returning to soccer now?
I have farily strong thigh muscles and can cycle/swim with no pain or reaction.
I would love to play again just for a few more years but need to know if it can be done?

Thanks
