Any ideas here will be guesses since what you need is an examination by a ATC, PT or physician.  Once you have that you may be able to get some useful information from people here.
L Knee: 1980 medial plication (?);1994 medial menisectomy 'bucket-handle tear; 2000 medial menisectomy w/dx mod-severe osteoarthritis; 2002 debridement w/dx severe osteoarthritis; 2003 HTO and LR.6/2/05  HTO hardware removal and debridement arthroscopy, 2009 L knee arthroscopy great result

Hi,

I can't give you a diagnosis as I'm not a doctor. What I can tell you is that your knee shouldn't be behaving like this. And more to the point, if it's been giving you trouble for a while it's obviously not getting any better. In the first instance I'd recommend RICE, ease off the activities which aggravate it and make an appoitnment to see a doctor.
You shoudl ideally see an OS who specialises in knees who can perform formal physcail examinations and with clinical and diagnostic testing will be able to give you an accurate diagnosis as what you describe could be the result of any number of things.
Please see a doctor and sort your knee out for sure. After all, you have to live with it.

Take care,
