Should I run yet? (knee feeling better with PT)
« on: September 05, 2010, 05:24:39 AM »
Hi guys, so after a summer of being at the lowest ever, thanks in large part to my bad knee, I finally saw a doctor who has helped me. (In case anyone doesn't know, I've had an awful recovery from plica surgery over a year ago)

She told me me kneecaps were both out of alignment, and prescribed physical therapy for my leg muscles. Three weeks in now, and it's made a world of difference. My knees aren't totally back to normal yet, but they are feeling so much better. I know the PT is working because I was able to go mountain hiking last week without any problems. Walking down the mountain I felt all the pressure going to my quad muscles, whereas before PT all the pressure of going up and down stairs/hills went straight on my kneecaps.

So if I made it through mountain hiking without any problems, and I know my leg muscles are getting stronger, think I'll make it through some light jogging ok?
Deeply regret having knee surgery...hoping it can be fixed.
