About a year agoI began feeling a strong pain from a bone that protruds just below the outterside of my right knee.  Exray and MRI indicated a torn miniscus.  This pain was only evident after a walk of 1/2 to 3/4 mile and twenty minutes or so of rest and elevation reliieved the pain.  It soon began to worsen and I had a shot of cortizone which quieted it for about six months.  About three months ago it got more severe even after shorter walks.

I elected to have arthrosopic sugery  two months ago.  Since the surgery the pain has beocme even worse, appearing even while resting in bed.  The pain radiates from below the knee to the ankle.  The surgeon said it sounds like a nerve problem and not related to the surgery.  he has prescribed therapy but I don't think it helps.
I have been taking statins for cholesterol for about seven years and thinking back I believe this pain started when my lipitor dose was raised and even mores so when zetia was added.  Has anyone experienced similar?
