Hi Folks

The bulbs are in full bloom despite yesterday`s hailstones, and today it`s glorious sunshine, but very cold

I thought it was spring here... last week the temp was 90F  and the pear trees were blooming (and smelling quite like putrid if you ask me)

...but my Easter Sunday's high was 40F, but today has warmed up to 50F.

This has completely screwed with my allergies. So to add to the knees, I have a headache, sore throat, and runny nose.

7.22.2004: horseback riding accident :(
5.9.2008: scope + plica removal on left knee.
12.16.2008: de-plica-tize my right knee.
3.14.2011: lateral release + medial plication on left knee.

It's great to be a Tennessee Vol!!!!

I saw a Magnolia tree in blossom today here in the hospital gardens - plus daisies, forget-me-nots and cowslips all over the place on the lawns - Spring is sprung in Upper Bavaria even at 600m above sea level. Still d****d cold at night though and snow on the mountains only a few kilometres away

I was quite humored when I read in the paper today that Kansas got snow. It made me grateful for my 60F. But it's been raining and windy :( so now I have pear tree pollen all over my car  >:(.

We've got the sifts and swallows flying around which is a sure sign that Spring is nearly over and summer is almost here!

Yesterday was the last day of the so-called Cold Saints (Eisheiligen) so all the balconies are now decked with geraniums etc. It's a tradition here in Bavaria not to put out the window boxes etc until after 15th May (St Sophia's Day). Actually as this year has been so mild many had their boxes out earlier so it should be a fine show in a few weeks.
