tibia platau fx
« on: March 16, 2006, 09:25:12 PM »
I am new to this board. June 8th 2005 I was in a serious car accident. I had to have a plate and screws in my left leg for a tibia platau fracture. I have still been having pain on the outside of my leg where the plate is. I still walk with a limp at times. I am scheduled to have the hardware removed on April 3rd 2006. I have a wonderful OS. he did not do the orginal surgery but he is taking the plate out. He says I will be on crutches for 1 month. I know everyone is differant, but any points on the ability to walk and pain after removal of plate? I really want to go back to work. I have not been able to work since the accident.
Thanks
Cheri

Cheri,

Hi there, welcome to the board.  If you go down to the section titled 'Specialist's Office' - 'Bone Breaks around the Knee' - you should be able to read posts there and talk to other's who've had similar situations.

Good luck with your procedure & let us know how everything goes.  ~Shade
