Knee Braces and Judo
« on: February 24, 2006, 01:31:57 PM »
Hi, I have a ruptured ACL, seems like its been like that for a good while and not caused me a lot of trouble, I recently injured myself and had an MRI showing the ACL rupture and a tear to my MCL, which is healing well. The Specialist and Physio are of the opinion that I shouldn't need to have my ACL reconstructed as my knee has settled well and i've previously managed without one, but I would benefit from a brace when playing Judo. I am looking for a suitable brace for support but due to the rules in Judo I cant have a metal or frame type one. Can anyone suggest a make and model of something like neoprene with composite hinges that would work well? Thanks.
