7 year old daughter with osgood schlatters
« on: February 07, 2006, 05:52:28 PM »
Hi, just found out that my daughter has got osgood schlatters.  She is 7 years old, plays mini tennis 1 session 3/4 hour 1 session 1 hour per week, swimming 1 hour a week and joined a skipping club at her school in september 1 hour a week.  This does not seem too much exercise a week does it?  She is really good at all sports and it seems a shame for her to stop at her age.  I am not quite sure what treatment she should have, is it rest? if so for how long? will the lump on her leg go away? can she play sport again?  She is not in any pain, but has this lump.  She has 3 older brothers and the whole family are quite active.
From her very worried mother....
