Patellar tendinitis and opposite knee pain
« on: January 27, 2006, 06:45:32 PM »
I am new to this site!!!  Thank God for a place to ask questions to others with my kind of problem. I had an arthroscopy to repair rough cartilage and remove loose bodies.  The MRI stated I have Stage IV chrondromalacia; I injured my right knee on a concrete step.  The surgery and intial PT went well, but I developed patellar tendinitis. The surgery was August 2005 and the tendinitis started about November 2005. I rehab 3X a week; have had oral and injectable steroids, cannot take NSAIDS ( allergic) and now am on Ultracet ( which barely controls the pain).  Recently, I have developed pain in the left knee- what am I doing wrong???? I believe I have patellar tendinosis or scar tissue???? Can anyone help?????

Here is an article about patellar tendinitis and the treatment.

If you have scar tissue - check out the section called 'Rehab Dept' - 'Soft Tissue Damage'

Good luck.  A second opinion might also be another option.....  ~Shade
