Pain - knee or leg or what?
« on: January 25, 2006, 04:05:19 PM »
This will probably seem like a stupid question but...!  ....I have pain down both sides of my leg on the internal side, above the knee a couple of inches, sort of 'between' the femur bone.  Upon squatting, or going down stairs, sometimes walking.  Its a sharp pulling pinching pain.

I've had a history of knee troubles.  Plica removal, and cartilidge degeneration at the posterior horn.  I'm wondering if this pain is related to the cartlidge or if its a hamstring or tendon thing.

And yes...before you ask....I have seen my OS, physio etc etc.  All of them baffled (and not particuarly interested or helpful)  DON'T ASK.

Just wondering if anyone else has experinced the same
THANKS

plica syndrome
athroscopy left knee plica removal
meniscus degeneration
osteo arthritis

It could be the main ligiments or tendons on either side of your knee. Depending on which one it is will determine if it is your knee or just your leg.
hope you get well soon
and ive had doctors that dont care about my problems either....not very comforting...
