Hip pain related to insoles?
« on: January 18, 2006, 05:28:42 PM »
Hi guys!

I've recently (a lot worse today) been having hip pain, on the same side as my bad knee - i have chondromalacia patella - and i was wondering if this could be related to the insoles i have been wearing for the past 4 weeks or so.   ???

Just a bit worried coz sofar it's only my knee thats been a problem and don't want to damage my knee any further, or any extra bits!   :-\

If you're not walking normally and most of us with knee problems don't you could be aggravating your hip as well?  There is chance that the insoles have made it worse, but maybe because you are walking more normally your hip is not used to the more normal gait.  Since my TKR my hip/back have been acting up because I have not walked normally for so any years.

Ask your OS about it,  itís the only way to know for sure.
