For those w/ knee hardware!
« on: November 14, 2005, 04:24:49 AM »
hey everyone~

guess i have a question reguarding the screws in both my knees from my TTTs.  for any of you whom have had screws in your knee, does the screw sensitivity diminish or go away?  i'm back to playing hockey, and taking a knee is super painful.  also, falling on your knees in the middle of practice or during a game can REALLY smart.  is the pain associated w/ hitting the scews supposed to get better with time, or is this something i'll have to deal with unless i resort to getting them removed? (which i'm not looking into for quite some time!  :P )  if any of you could share your input, that'd be great!

thanks
~Mandy :)

Mandy,

I don't know about everyone else but mine are still very sensitive and one of them is about 10 years old, they're okay as long as I don't bash them, but if I do, boy do I know about it.

Hi Mandy,
I have had screws in one knee for 4 years and for 2 years in the other.  Bumping the TT or the screws is still extremely painful plus the screw area aches all the time.  I keep putting off having the screws removed hoping that the constant ache will go away and the screw area won't be so painful to touch or bump.  Good luck and have fun playing hockey.

Patty
