Weight bearing post TTT

Hi I just wanted to know how painful it is when you 1st start wght bearing. I can start on friday and have had very little pain so far, but wondered if I should expect it to get worse?? Thanks in advance!

I was so eager when I started weightbearing that I over did it just a little:-[ As long as you take it easy you shouldn't have very many problems with increased pain after you start weightbearing. If you do then ice and massage and you'll be fine:)

I had a modified Trillat TTT and LR done on 6/26/02
Original injury in October of 1998 due to a horseback riding accident

I agree with Danielle.  If you go slowly, you shouldn't have any pain, it just feels weird.  Are you in a brace and weight bearing or what?  I was weight bearing right the day after the surgery with straight leg brace and crutches, so it may have been just a tad different.  Mainly, go slow and you shouldn't have pain, discomfort MAYBE, but not pain.  If you do, back off some. ;)
7 arthroscopies on both knees since 1991; many torn menesci and plica syndrome; TTT 5/23/02 for maltracking patella.  Screws removed on 4/16/03!!!
