Microfracture success story
« on: June 24, 2006, 06:25:31 PM »
I had Microfracture surgery last May (05/04/2005).  I just got home from completing a 9 mile bike run in the annual RIDE FOR ROSWELL.  I went into the ride thinking that it was a  mile ride.  But once I got there I found out that it is actually a 9 mile ride.  I had only been training for a 6 mile ride so I was very unsure as to weather I would be able to complete the ride.  I am happy to say that I did all 9 miles and was NOT the last one over the finnish line either.  (I was about in the middle of the pack.)  And the knee feels just GREAT!!!  No pain at all.

Congrats on your run!  Where was the microfracture performed on the knee?  Patella region or chondoyles?

Medial chondoyle - cartilage worn down to the bone.

I kept a journal all through my surgery experience and it is posted here on this site at:
