o.a.t.s--recovery

i had micro fracture surgery done in june. after 3 months of rehab. the pain has started back. i was just informed that i will need OATS. i play adult league hockey and am a goalie. how long is the recovery and will i be able to play again. i am scheduled for surgery on 11/11/05.

Hi Jason.
Sorry to hear that your last procedure didn't "take".  I had OATS 4 weeks ago and can honestly say the recovery will be about 3 months or longer.  I can't answer the question about hockey.

Check out the topics under the Arthritis section (cartilage plug transfer).  There are a lot of OATS posts that might anwer your questions.
