hairline fracture in Tibia
« on: October 24, 2005, 03:18:03 AM »
I was having pain above the knee up to the top of my leg. Four months ago I had a hip replacement. Doctor thought it was healling of the muscles but I thought 4 months it should be getting better. Doctor took xrays and discovered a hairline fracture and ordered me on a walker for 6 weeks. Note: I did fall in my bathroom a few weeks before surgery and it could have happened at that time. Question: how long does it take for a hairline fracture take to heal? Can I put any pressure on leg at all? If it does not heal in 6 weeks what is my next step? Thanks for your help
