Medial Epicondyle
« on: October 03, 2005, 05:48:09 PM »
I was wondering if anyone knows if a loss in the overall height of the medial epicondyle could be attributed to my medial subluxations or vice versa. It showed up on my MRI but my OS never mentioned anything about it to me. From what I have read and researched the medial epicondyle should be larger than the lateral epicondyle. I would appreciate any help that anyone could give me.

Thanks, Kate

Did not really understand where you were talking about, did not know the name of this part of the knee...My word we do learn new things everyday...

Not sure if this could cause your problem, but possibly since this is the site where the MCL is attached...Have you checked out info on the MCL tears and ruptures etc..???  Usually MCL tears will heal themselves as there is a good blood supply to them, but usually you are placed in a brace and have therapy for this injury.  I'd be asking my OS some other questions about this or get another opinion.....

Hope you get some answers soon, Kate.

Thanks Shade,

I just found out about this when I got my medical records, I hadn't seen my MRI report until now.  I am hopefully going to get another opinion and will ask the doctor about it then.
