Just Curious Pain
« on: September 29, 2005, 06:26:43 AM »
I have had this strange sharp pain on the lower later side of my left knee just next to my patella. when the pain hits it feels like my tendon pops and then it hurts to bend or stand on. i have had this pain off and on for almost 2 years now..

Did you do something to aggrevate it? Or did you just wake up one day and it's been mucking up ever since. If it's giving you trouble I'd get it checked out by a Professional.

A Sports Physician if possible.

It's probably a good idea to get it checked out if you use it for sports and especially if you're working on a ladder.

And in the interim whilst you're waiting to see your GP etc, you'd be advised to temporarily stop doing your sport, especially if it's "very knee involved".... - it's not worth un-necessarily agrevating the issue while you're waiting for a medical assesment and diagnosis.

Good luck.

definitally have a OS/knee specialists look at it.  Might could have and MRI or bone scan done for some answers.  I agree that whilst you are waiting for your answers limit your activity with that knee.  Good luck to you and keep us posted on your progress and answers.
