pain after MCL sprian
« on: September 12, 2005, 10:19:53 AM »
2 years ago I tore my MCL. Since then the pain hasnt really gone away and i can feel somthing...sliping out of place every so often and i can just feel something locking at times. Somtimes my knee is very week when im walking up and down stairs. I recently injured it again and the "displaced" feeling is back and stronger. I dont know if somthng is out of place in my knee or what. Im no expert on the matter..

SD,

If you are having pain in your knee over an extended period of time you really should be checked out by an knee specialist.

Your MCL could be stretched out, I was told that riding a stationary bike might help tighten it up.  If your MCL is not swollen then you could try using a hot water bottle - that should ease pain in that area.  Ice and elevation is great for swelling.

Good luck,

Shade
