Lynn,

Best of luck with your surgery!  You are in the best of hands, and have already had so much improvement.  I know this is the right thing to do and you will get back even more function with your hard work and Steady's magic hands (to say nothing of those wonderful Howard Head patellar mobes...gah!).  Please keep us posted on your progress when you feel up visiting online.

Thanks so much everyone!

All of your well wishes must have worked cause I checked out of the hospital this morning and went to PT and Dirk got me to about -2 and I got to 130 from just wall slides :D!  I'm pysched cause that's just one day out of surgery. Steady stopped by PT today and said that he thinks it was the perfect time to go back in cause scar tissue had reformed and I probably wouldn't have made any more progress without the surgery.  I haven't even had to take any pain killers yet.  How does Steady do that?

Anyway, I'm very excited to see all you guys back out here soon.  Don't forget to sign the t-shirt while your out here.  Oh and Jaci is that lunch date you set up still on?

All keep you all posted & thanks again.

Hey Lynn,

That's just super!!  130 right out of surgery is truly awesome!  That Steady's a sneaky guy isn't he.  Your knee doesn't even realize it's been operated on.  Sure is a far cry from where you were last spring.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an even better progress report next week.  See you then.

Tracy,
I hope you are right about that.  My knee and thigh definitely knew it had been operated on last time I had surgery.  I couldn't even touch it let alone bend it to 130!

Lynn,
Best of luck with your rehab!  I hope you continue to improve.  I'm a little jealous that you will be back on a bike before me though . . . See ya

thanks, I'm at 135 today  :)

I hope I will be an arthofibrosis success story and be able to provide some hope to others.  And if I am successful- I contribute it all to finding this site & the all of you convincing me to take that leap of faith and come out here to see Steady.  I'm so lucky to have not gone through so many extra surgeries before coming out here.

So if there are any newbies reading this-- the most important thing I have learned through all of this-- I had a very good OS back home, and truly think he meant well, but even the most well meaning OS's most likely will not be able to help you with arthofibrosis- SEE A SPECIALIST.

Anyway, I'll keep everyone updated (just not as detailed as Alex's (lefthand50)-- I'm not that good of a typer)

Hey Lynn,
How's it going?  Is therapy going well still?  Looking forward to an update . . . a positive one.  We really need someone new to be an arthrofibrosis survivor.

Well, no change in R.O.M. since right after the surgery (-2 & 130-135ish) but at this point since I still have swelling in the knee from the surgery a week ago, I'm still very pleased with where I'm at.  I'm hoping to make it to the 140's.  wow, I never thought I'd even dream of that ROM since 3 1/2 months ago I was at 24 & 78.  Dr. Steadman and his posse of PT are awesome!

And, yes Jim, it is quite unbelievable how little surgery pain there is after Dr. Steadman's operations.  And trust me I was screaming for pain meds after my first 2 surgeries (not Steadman sugeries).  I'm glad you're taking that leap of faith.  I just made my follow up visit to come back mid Nov. Will you still be in Vail then?
