Clicking Knee
« on: September 05, 2005, 12:42:33 PM »
I had an arthroscopy 6 weeks ago to scrap the back of the patellar.  About three weeks after the knee has started clicking some of the time when it bends - is this something I should worry about.  It's fine when I cycle and I haven't tried squats yet as I'm waiting until I get full bending (this is pretty close now).

Dear Mel,
I have clicking in my knee which occurs when i completely straighten it. My OS said it was roughage on the back of the knee cap...aka chondromalacia. If you have had the back of your knee cap scraped though it's probably not this. I reckon you should definitley go to the doctor if you only had an arthoscopy 6 weeks ago, especially if the clicking is painful!
Goodluck with it, post and let us know what it was?
