GA and sore throats?

I had a general last week for my scope and now 4 days later have a sore throat that just seems to be getting worse it I will do anything to not sneeze at the moment as it is really painful. I expected a bit of soreness when I woke up but not for it to get worse. Has anyone else suffered this or should I really be heading to my docs?

I've had 4 GA's in the last few years and every time a sore throat for a week or so.

It's the tube they put down your throat, it must break the skin in your throat and then it gets sore before it heals.

If it goes longer than a week I'd see the Doc to get some antibiotics.

Thanks Russ, I just wanted to run it by you guys on here before I worried about it. It is very localised not like any throat infection I've had before but I always thinks it's better to ask those that know rather than just leave it.

Hey Charliemouse, sore throat after a general sucks! I've only had a sore throat once from the tubes. I think it's when they get a bit rough and aren't careful sliding it down. Oh well, i suppose it's a small price to pay if you get legs that work properly!!
