Somebody please help!!!!
« on: August 12, 2005, 11:38:04 PM »
I just got my MRI resuls and, like everything else the last two months, I don't understand any of it nor can I get anybody to explain it ot me.--   Right knee shows a mild to moderate knee joint effusion and a small Baker's cyst. A mild amount of edema in the medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle. The posterior horn of the medial meniscus has an unusual shape likely related to the shape of the underlying tibia. Small spur arising from the medial femoral.-- About the only thing I understand is that I have some swelling.

Your right you have swelling, the back part of your medial (towards the inside) meniscus is a shaped a little differently than most, but he believes that may be because of a variation in shape of your tibia.  Does not sound too bad.  You also have a bone spur (arthritis) in the medial part of your femur.  That may or may not be a problem, depending on exactly where the spur is located.  Sorry I couldn't be much help.
