knee Cap Pressure
« on: August 02, 2005, 08:05:08 PM »
I have had about 5 surgeries in the last 4 yrs.  I recently had a mosiacplasty and I had an small arthoscopic to shave some cartilage that grown from the mosiacplasty.  But I still ahve problems with my knee buckling and giving way.  I also can straighten my leg all the way or there is trememdous pressure to back of knee cap.  I believe that this may have been caused by the Fulkerson procedure I had in 2002.  Has anyone experienced this before?  I am going to another doctor to get a second opinion since the doc I go to now says he doesn't have any other options for me.  Has anyone had any procedures that has helped them with this kind of problem?  If so please let me know.  Thanks

KneeVet,

Sounds like you have a handle on things - getting a second opinion would be my recommendation to you - you are doing the right thing with that.

Check out posts in the rehab dept - Post-op Diaries and you can chat with people that have had the same procedures as you.

Good luck with your appointment, hope all goes well.
