crunchin sound
« on: July 07, 2005, 09:33:11 PM »
Hello Everyone This is my first posting. Today I knelt down on the floor and my knee made an awful noise. It wasand still is very painful and as I am sitting down when I raise the lower part of my knee there is a crunching sound which I can also feel by resting my hand upon it. Can anyone tell me what has happened please and what I should do about it. Help please.

Hi Jan
I'm new on this site too...I'm sure other people on the site have more experience than I do..but I'd suggest that you get a referal to a specialist and have it ounce of prevention is sometimes worth a pound of cure...I don't know if medical coverage would be a problem but it might be worth thinking about..Willjen62

Go get this checked by a orthopedic surgeon specialized on knees. Meanwhile RICE (rest, ice, compress, elevate).
Doesn't have to be any serious, depend if you more fell on the knee or if you twisted it.
Better be safe....
