the knee that pops
« on: July 07, 2005, 06:31:12 PM »
Hey all,

I have had an odd and painful experience...twice now. I woke up again today with the most severe knee pain I have ever had. and it hurt for a while. Until I was in the shower and moved the knee and I left the bones rubbing together and a really loud BANG/POP and bad pain. Then hte knee pain went down a little its still achy and hurts. But what si that? It felt like legos snapping but much bigger. this is the second time it's happened.

Is it your kneecap who pops ? Or does your knee lock when straighten it ? If kneecaps pop it might be so that your knee tends to sublux but don't. If your knee locks and then when you move it loosen you might have a meniscus damage with loose bodies interfering. Make an appointment to an orthopedic surgeon specialized on knees if this continue to happen. Mean while RICE (rest, ice, compress, elevate).
Good luck to you !!
