One thing that has amazed/dismayed me since discovering this site is the number of teenagers with serious knee injuries. With the rise of the popularity and diversity of youth sports, I am curious about which sport is "causing" the most knee injuries. I have a guess, but would be very interested in results of poll. If I missed your sport, please post it up. Thankyou for participating.

Hello, and thank you so much for trying to figure this out! I suffer from petella femoral pain syndrome... which is the way my femor hits my petella because of the angle caused by my hips. I am 15 and jus recently was diagnosed with this... so im still working on dealing with it! i play volleyball, basketball, swim, and play softball, i had to stop playing volleyball and basketball because of the intense pounding my knee was getting. Just wanted to let u know that u forgot to add volleyball to that list!!!
Have a great day!

none of the above. well sorta...
my first knee injury, grade II MCL tear was a result of being tackled in nothing else but SOFTBALL!
i was playing first base and the girl rounded it and took me with her. other than that, hockey is what's aggrivated it more than anything. plan on returning to the ice in september lol

Softball is a dangerous sport. I would know. I got taken out at the plate on a high slide while I was catching (It was a cheap shot). Talk about pain!! I had a massive bone bruise for 2 months, an MCL tear Grade III, and tore my ACL completely. Actually it felt like my whole leg was being ripped off. I even injured my left hip/groin too due to the severe impact force on my knee. It was definitely a 10 on the pain scale... But I'd do it again if it came down to that play again.
