New knee trouble; same knee....
« on: June 24, 2005, 03:55:19 PM »
I'm 6 months post-op (lateral menisectomy, minor synovectomy, debridement). The front of the knee just below the kneecap swells when standing too long or walking more than 3 blocks, pain when walking downstairs or down hill and sometimes upstairs. Also, if I'm standing more than a couple of minutes, my knee threatens to lock and it feels like something is catching. Occasionally, I feel clicking there. My surgeon is referring me to a guy who specializes in just knees, specifically inflamation of the knee joint.
2/10/04 - Reconstructive wrist surgery
Menisectomy/Debridement/min. synovectomy (rt. knee)
Cortisone/Lidocaine shot
1/11/06 - Chondroplasty of the lateral/medial femoral condyle
Removal of loose bodies
Debridement of arthrofibrotic banding
Ext PF synovectomy

Kporterjud,

Hopefully this new specialist that you are being referred to will be able to find the cause of your knee pain.

Good luck at your appointment.
