Two weeks post arthroscopy
« on: August 21, 2002, 06:02:25 PM »
My daughter is now 2 weeks post-op.  got stitches from arthroscopy out yesterday.  Still very swollen and basically stuck in a staight position.  Doc said she can basically do what she can tolerate.   Start trying to use it and bend it.  She can't bend it - she has to work on that - still in pain - though better.  How far  and fast should she push getting it back to somewhat normal?  I think this is going to be very slow.  Doc said put ice on 3-4 times a day. He may have to drain it(!!!) in a week.  What is that like???She does not do good with yucky stuff (she throws up). Even the stitches removal!! Reading ya'll sounds it will never be normal again. :'(
