Arthroscopy & Lateral Release Surgery
« on: June 03, 2005, 04:47:02 PM »
Hi

I had an arthroscopy in 2000 and was made to stay over night in hospital.  Next month I will be having an arthroscopy and lateral release but have been told that that this day surgery.

Has anyone else had this done in day surgery then get sent home???

Hi Claude,
I had an arthroscopy and lateral release 7 weeks ago.  It was only day surgery for me.  I was in the hospital at noon and was released at 6pm that day.  I would have been sent home earlier, but I had a few complications so I had to stay a little longer.
I hope your knees feel better soon.

Hi Claude,
Yes, I have had that procedure on both knees and they were day surgeries.  Good luck and best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Hey,

Same here.  LR on Left knee and it was day surgery.  I think that on top of everything being lightning fast anymore, you would probably feel better recovering at home!  Best wishes and luck with your surgery.

Claude,
Hi, sounds normal to me also - I'll be having a scope, medial plication, & LR in July and they told me it would be day surgery unless complications arose.

Good luck with your surgery,

Shade
