Say hello to Candy
« on: May 27, 2005, 10:00:04 AM »

The English are great lovers of sweets and chocolate.  The chocolate bar was first manafactured by Fry &  sons  in 1847.  Each confectionery shop has a vast array  of  assorted chocolate and toffee bars. As well as  individually rapped chocolate and toffee sweets.  Cadburys are the largest producers of chocolate in  England.  But these days English chocolate is  expensive compared to foreign imports from Germany,  Belgium and Switzerland. The latter being the first  country to manufacture eating cocolate. At this  present time this cheap imported chocolate is  flooding
the market. Consequently, England is a great place  to  be for the chocolate eaters. There are two main  types  of chocolate eaten in England, milk and dark  chocolate.  Dark chocolate contain a higher percentage of cocoa,  it has a stronger flavour and is slightly more  bitter than that of milk chocolate.  Most chocolate  in  sold in England is milk chocolate.  Here are some  very
popular Brand names and dates. Rowntree's fruit  pastills 1881. Fruit gums 1893. Kit kat and Aero
1935.  Smarties 1937. Maltesers 1936. Crunchie 1927. Milky  Way 1923. After Eight mints 1962.  Liquorice became  all sorted in 1899. Do you want the title of the book of Candy dates ?
