Question re: knock kneed
« on: May 23, 2005, 04:12:28 PM »
Ok well I am knock kneed as the physio put it "quite a bit".

Was just wondering if anyone knew vaguely how knock kneed you have to be to require surgery. Just slightly worried because searching about and somewhere says if the ankles are over 3inch apart when the knee's are touching it would probably require surgery. And vaguely measuring my own it is somewhere in the region of at least 4 - 5 inchs. And I think the surgery required is an osteotomy which looks like a not very fun procedure to say the least.

Does anyone know if that is right or what. I am bricking myself now that if physio doesn't work I will have to have one of them and getting paranoid that the physio was trying not to worry me by not mentioning surgery that will take a wedge of bone out my leg and saying physio should "cure" it!
